Aerobic activities 'will give women Catherine Zeta-Jones' legs'

25 January 2010 14:00

Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has recently been showing off her newly-toned calf muscles in a knee length black dress and women can also achieve pins like these through regular aerobic activities, according to a diet and fitness expert.

In a piece for the Women section of the Times, Peta Bee writes that Jones' new svelte legs are the result of hectic dance rehearsals for the Broadway musical A Little Night Music, that she is currently starring in.

The 40-year-old mother of two also takes part in Pilates sessions, perhaps in ladies yoga clothing, and weight training, according to Ms Bee.

Calf tone can be improved by running, cycling, and any form of dance, the journalist writes.

She recommends calf raises, which may be best in comfortable gym clothing, as among the best ways to create calf definition.

As for keeping the arms toned, the NHS recommends doing gentle kneeling push-ups or using bottles of water as home-made dumbbells.
