Women in Nottingham are being invited to put on their ladies running wear and attend jogging sessions for beginners in the city.
Each week, hour-long sessions for those completely new to running or those who want to get back into it after a long gap are being offered in a number of locations.
Groups will contain between ten and 14 participants and will be led by a qualified instructor who will direct jogs around Nottingham's parks or playing fields.
These include the Forest Recreation Ground, Highfields and University Park.
"Whatever ability, age or fitness level, these sessions provide a fun and relaxing way to start jogging and they are also a great way to make new friends," said Dave Trimble, Nottingham City Council's portfolio holder for leisure, culture and customers.
Last month, the Jogging Buddies running group urged people to sign up for the Paisley 10k race, set to take place on Sunday August 29th.
Through the Paisley Daily Express, it recommended its group running sessions as a great way to train for the race while having fun at the same time.
