Bikram yoga 'clears the mind and improves energy levels'

Women seeking to clear their minds and improve their energy levels should consider investing in some ladies yoga clothing and taking part in Bikram yoga sessions.

This is according to Karen Putz, who wrote in a piece on triblocal.com that she felt "triumphant" following her first session of the Indian form of meditation.

Bikram yoga involves practicing different stretches and poses in a room heated to 44.5 degrees C.

Ms Putz said that she found the heat "overbearing" at first but then realised it was making her muscles more flexible.

"I felt triumphant in the fact that I managed to survive the class, but there was something deeper and more profound: a state of bliss," she wrote.

Last month, Mary Comber, editor of Health & Fitness magazine, suggested that people who made new year's resolutions to exercise more should try yoga classes, as these can be more enjoyable than sessions on a treadmill at a gym.
