A group of employees at a South Yorkshire car dealership have completed a fitness workout for charity.
JCT600 workers slipped into their men's and women's fitness wear to compete in an indoor rowing race, successfully raising £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In addition to raising money for charity, the event was organised to support the efforts of two staff members in particular, Luke Grose and Alex Macdonald, who have been training hard in preparation for a 3,000-mile rowing race across the Atlantic later this year.
Commenting ahead of the event, which took place last weekend, JCT600 chief executive John Tordoff said: "We hope local people will join us at our Wakefield event and that the whole of Yorkshire will get behind the rowers in their quest to bring home the world record and raise a huge amount of money for Macmillan Cancer Support."
Elsewhere, Dave Holby has embarked on his own world record breaking attempt to 'virtually' row around the world on an indoor rowing machine outside of a shopping centre.
