Celebs don fitness wear for Sport Relief

05 March 2010 16:38

Davina McCall and Fearne Cotton donned their ladies fitness wear recently and cycled 1,000 miles to raise money for Sport Relief.

Seven celebrities, led by funny-man David Walliams, took part in the BT Sport Relief Million pound Bike Ride from John O'Groats in Northern Scotland to Land's End in the south-west of England.

It took them 82 hours to complete the challenge, which saw them scale 1,000ft peaks and cycle in freezing conditions.

The groups efforts can be seen on BBC One on Thursday, March 18th at 21:00.

Friday March 19th to Sunday 21st is the Sport Relief weekend and women across the country will be donning their ladies fitness wear and taking part in sponsored fitness events in order to raise cash for good causes in the UK.

One such event is the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile, in which participants can join one of 16 Flagship Miles or hundreds of other runs.
