Ladies yoga wear and other women's gym clothes made from used coffee grounds are "perfect", according to one firm that manufactures such products.
Singtex says the fabric is soft, light, flexible and breathable, and can also be used to produce a water-resistant outer shell.
As well as this, coffee-based ladies yoga wear from the firm is UV-resistant, wicks water away, keeps the wearer cool and binds to sweat, helping eliminate odours.
"After giving a refreshing beverage, and being a biofuel, the multi purposefulness of coffee bean deserves global appreciation," Fibre2fashion comments.
The Guardian also highlights the use of nettles to spin fabric, pointing out that the plants can be grown sustainably, organically and with little water and turned into a linen-like fabric which has wicking properties, keeps the wearer cool, traps warm air and is naturally anti-bacterial and mould-resistant.
