The only way in which women can lose weight quickly is by donning their ladies fitness clothing and putting consistent effort into exercising, an expert has suggested.
Tony Gallagher, fitness expert at the Daily Telegraph, explained that people have the best chance of keeping weight off if they lose it at a rate of two pounds a week.
"If you don't wish to alter your eating habits too much, then all that is left in your pursuit of weight loss is to exercise more," he wrote in the newspaper.
Mr Gallagher went on to recommend cycling to work instead of driving or taking public transport.
He also advised the use of exercise machines such as treadmills, indoor bikes and rowing machines as a great way of burning calories and shedding excess weight.
Many people exercise to lose weight and improve their appearance, but research from New York University's Langone Medical Center recently revealed that increasing physical activity levels can also help obese adolescents with type 2 diabetes to improve their cognitive performance.
