People living in Croydon will be donning their gym clothing and taking part in sponsored exercise sessions in order to raise money for a cancer charity next month.
It is predicted that about 300 men, women and children are expected totake part in the two zumba classes on March 5th, the Croydon Guardian reports.
The participants' efforts at the Latin-inspired dance workouts will help to raise money for the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT).
One of the events is to take place at Bridge Park Community Centre on Harrow Road between 12:30 and 14:00 GMT.
The other zumba session will take place at Fairfield Halls between 14:00 and 16:00 GMT.
Beverley De-Gale and Orin Lewis, ACLT founders, said: "Zumba is a great introduction to exercise. We really want the public to support the ACLT Zumbathons to help keep the ACLT alive."
US zumba teacher Stephanie Halter recently told the Arizona State University Herald that the dance exercise is a good stress reliever.
