Women who feel they are too busy to don their ladies fitness clothing and slot 30 minutes or more of exercise into their daily schedule should try to do shorter sessions throughout the day.
This is according to OK! magazine's health expert, known simply as Hilary, in response to a reader's question as to how to do more exercise while leading a busy lifestyle.
She highlighted research which has shown that results can be achieved and fitness improved even when people do not exercise for extensive periods.
"Breaking your exercise down into ten-minute sessions is just as effective, easier to stick to and even boosts your metabolism. Experts recommend three ten-minute sessions a day," she explained.
Hilary went on to recommend aerobic activities such as power walking, skipping, shadow boxing, jogging or cycling as well as some toning exercises.
Last month, Lisa Tolido spoke to the Charlotte Observer about her Christian yoga centre, called Be Strong, which focuses on getting busy women to both exercise and relax.
