Don ladies yoga clothing and 'cure asthma'

Women suffering from asthma can control and even cure their condition by donning their ladies yoga clothing and practicing a few relaxing yogasanas or poses, according to one commentator.

NDTV claimed that asthma patients usually breathe incorrectly so advised these people to start by learning a few breathing exercises.

A yoga practitioner demonstrated, in her red and black ladies yoga clothing, a way of breathing in a deep and controlled manner.

She lay on her back, placed one hand on her abdomen and one on her chest.

"Inhale deeply and, as you inhale, make sure that your abdomen rises up and not your chest. Most people breathe from their chest but here you must breathe from your abdomen," the TV channel asserted.

It recommended repeating this between ten and 15 times and said that the same exercise can be done while sitting, legs crossed.

According to the NHS, exercise-induced asthma is, for most people, an indication of poorly controlled asthma. Therefore, it is essential for sufferers to exercise but they should contact their doctor first for an asthma review.
