Women donning their ladies fitness wear and exercising to improve their appearance may want to enhance their healthy new glow with the newest make-up trend.

The semi-gothic look is very popular this season with the release of the Twilight films and other vampire-themed TV shows.

Celebrity makeup artist Ariane Poole said: "It's a prettier version of that aggressive goth look, I think that's what makes it so appealing."

She said that most women with paler and mid skin tones can pull-off the look but those with darker-skin tones should give it a miss.

Those opting for the vamp look for their office Christmas party should opt away from the rouge.

"It's not really so much going for a paler skin tone in the foundation, it's actually opting away from the blusher," said Ms Poole.
