Exercise is easy to squeeze into a lunch hour, according to Women's Fitness, so people might want to consider taking their ladies fitness clothing into work with them.

Joanna Knight, editor at the health and fitness magazine, said that interval training is a very effective form of exercise and can be fitted into short timeframes.

Her comments follow the recent publication of research by the British Heart Foundation, which revealed that one in three people try to avoid exercising during the working day in order to prevent looking sweaty in front of their colleagues.

"Skipping is a great lunchtime workout, nine minutes is equivalent to 30 minutes jogging," Ms Knight advised.

She went on to say that 25-minute Power Plate session is also great for toning muscles in a short period of time.

"Plus it leaves time for a shower before heading back to the office," she added.
