Women who want to look and feel great at a friend's wedding should put on their ladies fitness clothing and exercise more in the run-up to the big day, an expert has suggested.
Speaking on behalf of SlimFast, life coach Pete Cohen said that weddings really bring out people's self-consciousness because they know they are going to have to pose for lots of photographs.
His comments follow the publication of research conducted by SlimFast, which found that a fifth of women have dieted before attending a wedding.
Mr Cohen said that there are lots of things people can do to make themselves feel more confident at such events.
"If you want to look great and feel great then exercise is something that really does help. Also it's a choice - you can choose to be self-conscious or you can choose to feel good," he explained.
SlimFast's research also revealed that, on average, female wedding guests lose up to three pounds before attending the nuptials, while the bride loses eight pounds before her big day.
