Women who want to reduce their risk of diabetes should eat healthily and exercise regularly in their ladies fitness wear, endocrinologists have suggested.
Meals that contain complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains and beans, should be included in a healthy diet, DNAIndia.com reports, as these break down slowly and have a low impact on blood sugar levels.
Speaking to the website, endocrinologist H B Chandalia said: "Just by managing and disciplining the meals coupled with compulsory exercise at least for few minutes everyday, it is possible to prevent the so called disease complications."
He went on to say that today's busy lifestyles do not allow people to focus on their diet as much as they should.
According to Diabetes UK, women that are over weight or have a waist measurement of over 31.5 inches have a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes than those with a waist measurement below this figure.
Women can control their weight by exercising regularly, this could include daily jogs in ladies running wear.
