Families in Watford are being encouraged to put on their children's and women's fitness clothing and get more active.
The district is the latest to be targeted by the NHS's Change4Life campaign, which aims to make people across the UK fitter and healthier.
Results from the government's National Child Measurement Programme (2008-9) indicated that in Watford 22.5 per cent of four and five-year-olds and 31.2 per cent of ten and eleven-year-olds were overweight or obese.
On top of this, the latest Department of Health figures show that nearly one in four adults in the town is classed as overweight or obese.
In an attempt to reduce the prevalence of obesity in the district, the Change4Life road show is coming to the Harlequin Shopping Centre in Watford.
This will feature a special 'keepy-uppy' football demonstration from ten-year-old Welwyn Garden City soccer star Josh Clancy, who can perform more than 4,000 continuous kick-ups.
The Change4Life campaign was created last year and, as well as encouraging physical activity, it promotes healthy eating.
