Women wanting to lose weight before they tie the knot should do four or five cardio sessions a week in their ladies gym wear, a fitness expert has suggested.
When it comes to the final week before the big day, brides-to-be should also do as many Pilates classes as they can, Kristoph Thompson wrote in Women's Fitness magazine.
He spoke to nutritionist Anita Ellis, who said women should limit their intake of processed foods, refined carbohydrates and sugar in the run up to their wedding.
She also advised avoiding all alcohol and sugar, as this causes dehydration and, as a result, can lead to dry, flaky skin and dark circles under the eyes.
"To promote healthy skin and glowing eyes, drink plenty of water and up your vitamin A and E intake by eating lots of kale, carrots, spinach, broccoli, asparagus and celery," Mr Thompson wrote.
Earlier this month, a survey conducted by SlimFast found that a fifth of all women have dieted before going to a friend's wedding.
