A health and fitness event in Knowsley recently welcomed a large number of participants, it has been reported.
Women may have been encouraged to don their ladies running wear in order to take part in the Knowsley Active Challenge event.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the challenge at Knowsley Hall saw around 1,000 people join in, with the Junior Active Challenge also undertaken by 155 youngsters.
Along with fitness, teamwork was additionally promoted through the event, the news provider has suggested.
People in wheelchairs and those with special needs were among those who were encouraged to get involved in the event.
Meanwhile, free taster sessions in orienteering were on offer to people during the day.
Across the country, families might be able to learn more about exercise and healthy eating thanks to the NHS-backed Change4Life initiative.
The scheme aims to prevent people from experiencing obesity by improving their health.
