Yesterday, women across the world were encouraged to don their ladies fitness clothing and exercise as part of World Health Day.
Celebrated every year on April 7th, the day is organised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and draws worldwide attention to global health issues, such as the effects of a lack of exercise.
Northern Ireland's chief medical officer Dr Michael McBride went along to an armchair aerobics class created especially for adults, senior citizens and people with mobility difficulties in the Glen Community Centre, Newtownards.
"Everybody wants good health for themselves and their families. We all want a good quality of life and getting active can go a long way to achieving that," said Dr McBride.
He went on to encourage those who do not exercise regularly to don their men's or women's fitness clothing and get active, but to start slowly and not over-exert themselves.
WHO believes that everyone should engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day, which could include going for a half-hour jog in ladies running clothing.
