Brides-to-be hoping to lose weight before their wedding should don their ladies fitness wear and embark on a six-week fitness plan, an exercise expert has claimed.
Lucy Case of one-stop fitness resource website Thinqfitnesss.com told the Daily Record that the average bride loses around ten to 12 pounds in weight before their big day.
She said that, as they have a date to reach their weight loss goal by, they usually have "real determination" and are, therefore, successful.
Ms Case advised women to start their weight loss efforts between two months and six weeks before their big days.
"Six weeks is a realistic time for losing weight and toning up but brides do need to leave a week or two after this to finish off wedding preparations," she told the newspaper.
The fitness expert said that the exercise regimes should include cardio workouts and toning sessions to get rid of bingo-wings and reduce fat elsewhere on the body.
Last month, it was reported that Chelsea Clinton had told her father - former president of the US Bill Clinton - to shed over two stone before her summer wedding.
