Women do not have to sacrifice style while out exercising in their ladies running wear, a commentator has suggested.
Whether choosing something loose-fitting or tight-fitting, tops should be made from moisture-wicking and breathable materials, journalist Marc Deanie wrote in a piece for the Scottish Sun.
"Make sure there's enough arm space to allow comfortable shoulder movement. Equally, shorts and leggings should not be so tight around the waist that they cut in, nor so loose that they slip down," he added.
Mr Deanie went on to suggest that women should start off exercising in a few thin layers of gym wear and then remove layers as their body temperature begins to rise.
He later emphasised the importance of wearing a supportive sports bra, especially for bigger-breasted women, as they can experience back and neck injuries if exercising without this key piece of ladies fitness clothing.
Earlier this month, Reebok fitness trainer Vinita Shetty told The Hindu that Women should wear loose ladies fitness wear made of cotton when taking part in yoga sessions.
