Ladies to don fitness wear for Bournemouth Bay events

Women will be donning their ladies fitness wear later this month to get involved in a number of events in Bournemouth.

On Sunday, March 28th, the Fitness First Bournemouth Bay Run will be taking place, offering people the chance to take part in distances of 5km, 10km, or, for those feeling really fit, a half-marathon.

The route stretches from Bournemouth Pier, along the sea front and out into the surrounding area.

Money raised by those taking part in the runs will go to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

"Taking part in the Bournemouth Bay Run is an opportunity to raise life-saving funds for the BHF and we would like all participants to raise what they can in sponsorship," the BHF website said.

Recent research by the BHF suggested that not enough women are donning their ladies fitness wear as two thirds of adults quizzed did not complete the recommended exercise quota of five 30-minute sessions a week.
