Women in Leeds looking to don their ladies sportswear in order to enjoy some exercise might benefit from a forthcoming community event.

The recently opened Morley Leisure Centre is set to stage an open day next month, with free health checks available, along with taster activities such as tri-golf and badminton.

Both local adults and youngsters will be able to get involved in the event on July 3rd.

Discussing Morley's new leisure facility, Adam Ogilvie of Leeds City Council suggested that it will play an important role in the local community.

Mr Ogilvie, the organisation's leisure executive member, stated: "I am sure Morley will benefit greatly from what is more than just an excellent place to get fit, but a place to meet people and make friends."

Exercise taster sessions have also recently been offered to people in another part of West Yorkshire, with Shipley Pool providing Aquazone exercises.
