A group of mums from a village in Buckinghamshire have been donning their ladies fitness clothing and rediscovering one of the sports they played and loved as schoolgirls - netball.
Lucy Cavendish, a writer for the Daily Telegraph, andother mothers of the children at the local primary school in Frieth received an email inviting them to form a team to enter a netball tournament.
Calling themselves the Frieth-Over-the-Hillies, the group of women won one match, drew one and lost the rest.
"But we had great fun doing it. And now the tournament is over, we are all still hooked," Ms Cavendish writes, admitting that she is now "rather obsessed" by the game.
She went on to explain that the ball-snatching nature of the game helps people to get rid of their pent-up aggression.
According to the NHS, netball offers an array of benefits, including increasing muscle and bone strength, improving stamina, enhancing hand-eye coordination and releasing work-related stress.
