Many women work hard to slim down before their summer holidays but then give up exercising in their ladies fitness clothing while they are away, an expert has claimed.
Personal trainer Debbie Lawrence wrote in the Western Mail that at least one of her clients had confessed to being "naughty" on holiday - eating badly and avoiding exercise while on her break.
Ms Lawrence admitted that she has also let her exercise regime slip while on holiday, but said that it is not difficult to keep fit when abroad.
"One of the obvious ways to stay active would be to have a daily swim in the pool," she wrote in the newspaper.
She added that this does not have to be one long 30-minute swim each day, but can be broken down into ten-minute pool-based sessions each hour for three hours.
Last year, the government ran a free swimming initiative, which, according to official statistics, more than ten million people took part in between July and October 2009.
