Members kicked off dating site for Xmas bulge

04 January 2010 14:43

Members of the dating and social networking site BeautifulPeople.com may be donning their ladies fitness wear this week as the website has started to kick people off for putting on weight over the festive period.

The site, which hails itself as an "exclusively beautiful community" announced that over 5,000 people were kicked off its books for piling on the pounds over Christmas.

People on the site reported photos of other members where it appeared that they had 'let themselves go'.

Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com, said: ''We responded to complaints by moving the newly chubby members back to the rating stage. This is the same as having them re-apply."

The NHS is advising women to don their ladies fitness wear to get active and healthy in the new year, but not just to improve their appearance. It recommends cycling, possibly in women's gym clothing, as a fun and easy way to fit exercise into a daily routine.
