Women's yoga clothing got the presidential seal of approval this weekend when America's first lady Michelle Obama was seen in black yoga pants in Washington DC.

The wife of US president Barack Obama was promoting a campaignwhich aims to reduce levels of childhood obesity.

And women's yoga clothing proved to be the ideal outfit for her to wear in order to become involved in the campaign's exercise events herself.

Let's Move is Mrs Obama's own campaign to encourage more young Americans to take up physical activity and help to combat obesity within the child population.

Her ensemble was not free of fashionable elements, however, as her boot-cut yoga pants and long-sleeved tunic top, both in black, allowed her to retain her usual sleek and elegant appearance.

In addition to encouraging the uptake of exercise among young people, Let's Move also aims to improve school menus in the US and provide support to parents concerned about their child's weight.
