Moisturiser"protects"skin when exercising outdoors

Women donning their ladies fitness wear and braving the elements this season should be including a good moisturiser in their skincare routine to help fend off the impact of the winter elements, according to Dermalogica.

Asked which single skincare item people should splurge on, Marcella Knibb, corporate trainer for Dermalogica, said: "During the winter - a very good moisturiser".

Ms Knibb said using a good moisturiser is important to help keep the skin hydrated, nourished and "to stop any flaky patches from occurring".

She also said that people may need to consider changing their moisturiser as the weather gets colder and harsher and added that women's skin may become more chapped by the wind, when jogging outside in women's running wear, for example, so they may find they need a slightly richer moisturiser.
