Classes aimed at getting new mums to don their ladies fitness clothing and exercise more have been created in Bracknell, near Reading.

Bethan Lewis came up with the idea for Martial Mummies after giving birth to her first child three years ago, the Bracknell and Ascot Times reports.

The 35-year-old found it hard to exercise because of the pressures of being a new mum.

Martial Mummies allows mums to bring their babies along to the exercise sessions and involve them in the routines.

"There will be a nursery nurse there to keep an eye on the children and then, during other parts, mums will be able to use their babies as weights during the class," Ms Lewis told the newspaper.

Earlier this month, celebrity fitness trainer Steve Halsall said that, as long as new mums are persistent with their exercise routines, they will get back into the shape they were before falling pregnant.
