Women are being urged to don their ladies fitness clothing and take up more exercise this month by the National Trust.
The trust's month-long Outdoor Gym Challenge was created after research from Essex University revealed that exercising in a natural setting boosts people's physical and mental health more than a workout in a gym environment.
It suggests that people do not have to live near one of the sites looked after by the trust, but can take part in the challenge wherever they live.
Personal fitness trainer Lisa Foley has been working with the National Trust to help encourage women to take part.
"Even in your lunch hour you can take time to go for a brisk walk and come back to the office feeling really refreshed," said Ms Foley.
She added that all people need to do is bring their items of gym clothing with them, "pop them on" and they are set to go.
Last month, physician Todd Montgomery told the Knoxville News Sentinel that people should cycle or run later in the day during winter as temperatures are usually slightly higher and more comfortable to exercise in than in the morning.
