Women in Rotherhithe, Greater London, may want to invest in some ladies fitness wear as a new gym has opened in the district.
The £2.39 million gym is located at Surrey Docks Watersports Centre and offers those seeking a health boost facilities including exercise equipment, three studios and a new clubroom, which are open to the local community, the Southwark News reports.
Inside the gym, there are bikes, cross trainers, rowing machines and treadmills with mp3 docks and digital TVs.
Cardiovascular machines which are suitable for disabled users are also available and there is a free weights area for those who wish to improve their strength.
"The addition of the gym means there will be increased use of the facility all year round and provide first-class health and leisure facilities for everyone, whatever their abilities." Andrew Rhys, general manager at the Watersports Centre, told the newspaper.
Earlier this week, Nuffield Health Fitness & Wellbeing launched special Summer Fit memberships in its health clubs across the UK.
The aim of these is to encourage women to get into their ladies gym clothing and improve their health for the summer.
