Women in London are being given the chance to don their ladies sportswear in order to make use of a new tennis facility in the city.
It has been revealed that eight revamped courts on Clapham Common are set to be made available to people, after a sum of £250,000 was pledged towards the project by the Lawn Tennis Association and Lambeth Council.
The council's head of sport and recreation Derek Prentice commented that the new courts are of a high standard.
He stated: "This investment means thousands of people in Lambeth now have access to public tennis courts that meet the highest national standards."
Five of the new courts are also due to be floodlit, Lambeth Council confirmed.
Meanwhile, west London is set to play host to the Wimbledon tennis championship later this month, with the competition due to run between June 21st and July 4th.
