Mums and toddlers are being urged to get active as part of a new King's Lynn and West Norfolk Council swimming course.

Parents will be putting their women's fitness and swim wear on at the Oasis Sports and Leisure Centre in Hunstanton to take part in a new 13-week course.

Commenting on the new lessons, council operations manager David Cleland said that the classes allow the pace to be set by children, with more advanced being introduced when appropriate.

The council recently launched its Let's Get Active campaign encouraging people living in West Norfolk to slip into their men's and women's fitness wear to enjoy the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle.

To support the push, the council is updating its director of sport to ensure that residents have access to the most up-to-date information on local clubs and associations.

The council is also being supported by local partners and the National Lottery towards the campaign.
