An OAP who dons his gym clothing three times a week to attend his local fitness centre is fighting to prevent its closure.
Theo Rubens, 93, visits the Crags Sports Centre to use its rowing and cycling machines, the Edinburgh Evening News reports.
Edinburgh Leisure, which manages the facility, is planning on closing the centre at the end of the year.
"It's a lifeline for me and it would be terrible if it closed down. I go three times a week and it's quite well equipped for a small gym," Mr Rubens told the newspaper.
He went on to explain that the closure of the gym would mean the end of his exercise regime as he does not drive so he would not be able to get to an alternative facility.
Last month, the Swindon Advertiser reported that a group of disabled people were fighting to save their local gym - County Ground Lifestyle Centre - from closure.
