Redbridge women encouraged to don ladies fitness clothing

Women in Redbridge are being encouraged to don their ladies fitness clothing and take part in a number of free outdoor sports.

Fairlop Waters and Fairlop Outdoor Activity Centre is to host an open weekend on Saturday April 2nd and Sunday 3rd.

Attendees will be able to try their hand at sailing, rock climbing, power boating, orienteering and many more activities guaranteed to get the pulse racing.

"The event marks the official name change of the former Fairlop Sailing Centre to reflect the range of activities available," a statement from Redbridge Council reads.

On the Sunday, visitors will be able to benefit from free golf coaching and will have the chance to try out the 18-hole or 9-hole course.

According to the NHS, adults should aim to do 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical exercise at least five days a week.

Children should get around 60 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity every day.
