Dance fans looking to enjoy some exercise in their ladies fitness wear this weekend might want to think about attending an event in Sheffield.

A variety of city centre locations will play host to the city's Chance to Dance festival this coming Saturday (June 12th).

While encouraging audience participation, the event will also feature a large number of performances in disciplines such as tango, tap and even belly dancing.

Sheffield City Council's culture, leisure and tourism cabinet member Roger Davison has highlighted the popularity of the Chance to Dance initiative.

He stated: "People of all ages can watch and join in with spectacular dance performances, free of charge all day long.

"There is something for everyone so come along and enjoy."

Broadcasters from the BBC including Kate Linderholm, Rony Robinson and Trisha Cooper are expected to play a role in the event by hosting some of its activities.
