Women who do not have much time to exercise in their ladies fitness clothing may find that activities such as skipping and lunges provide a quick but effective physical boost, one expert has advised.

Writing in the Globe and Mail, personal trainer Kathleen Trotter said that there are many simple exercises for people with busy lives who work and also have children.

According to Ms Trotter, busy women should put on their ladies fitness clothing and skip for ten minutes three times a week or pick up some dumbbells and do eight lunges or lateral raises on each side of the body.

Resistance training using a gymball and a wall can also be effective for those who only have limited time, the expert noted.

Recently, a study published online in the British Journal of Sports Medicine suggested that portable pedal machines can help those who work at a desk to exercise more.
