Women who want a stress-free start to the British Summer Time should don their ladies fitness wear and do a spot of exercise, M&S Car Insurance has suggested.
As the clocks go forwards this weekend, a survey conducted by the insurer reveals that the concentration levels of over two-fifths (42 per cent) of Brits are affected due to losing an hour of sleep.
David Wells, head of insurance at M &S, said: "It certainly helps to be prepared for the clocks going forward, but few of us are organised enough, or feel tired enough to go to bed earlier than usual."
The company advises people to prepare for Monday morning by changing their clocks early on Sunday night, as this will give their minds and bodies a chance to adjust.
It said that exercising in the morning, which could include a session in ladies fitness wear down at the gym, will make people feel more fresh and alert.
Those who have trouble sleeping in general should ensure they are exercising regularly, even if it is only gentle exercise, according to the NHS, but it advises finishing a workout a few hours before going to bed.
