Sutton Council is hoping to encourage 20,000 more residents don their men's or ladies fitness wear and get cycling this spring.
Smarter Travel Sutton's Spring into Action campaign has been launched and includes the distribution of leaflets that contain promotional vouchers for over £100-worth of cycling-based services and products.
The six tear-off vouchers in the leaflet can be exchanged for free cycle training, a free smart water kit, half price bicycle servicing and discounts off bike accessories from three local bike stores.
Colin Hall, executive member for environment at Sutton Council, said: "Cycling is a hobby which I encourage everyone to take up - it helps the environment, gets people fit and reduces congestion around the borough."
At the launch of the campaign on March 6th, vouchers, cycle maps and guides were distributed and cyclists had the opportunity to visit Dr Bike - a bike repair and advice service.
A group of seven celebrities donned their men's and ladies fitness clothing recently to cycle the length of the UK in aid of Sport Relief.
