Teacher loses 8st in ladies fitness wear

Teacher loses 8st in ladies fitness wear

23 July 2010 17:00

A teacher from Exeter has lost eight stone through donning her ladies fitness wear and increasing the amount of exercise she takes part in.

At her heaviest, Tina Roberts weighed 18st due to her love of takeaways and junk food, the Daily Mail reports.

The mum-of-two embarked on her mission to lose weight after gaining the position of head of PE at Exminster Primary School.

She said that she wanted to set a good example to the students and that as an overweight woman, she was not doing so.

Tina, who is 5ft 9ins, dropped from a size 22 to a slender size ten through overhauling her diet and taking part in more exercise.

"It has totally changed my life. It's changed the way I think about things and I can do more," she told the newspaper.

Tina now goes on regular bike rides with her children and recently completed a 5km charity run in less than 30 minutes.

Next month, a 5km run is being held in Callendar Park in Falkirk to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
