Vibration plates 'tone muscle faster than traditional exercises'

Women hoping to tone-up their muscles in as shorter time as possible should don their ladies fitness clothing and make regular use of vibration plates, one expert has claimed.

Morgan Pierce, managing director of two fitness club chainsin Ireland, explained to the Sunday Business Post that these exercise machines cause core muscles in the body to contract at a rapid rate.

These contractions tone and strengthen the muscles in as little as a quarter of the time needed to achieve the same results using a typical gym workout.

"It's not just good for overall fitness, but its low-impact design means it is popular with multiple sclerosis patients and those recovering from injury," she told the newspaper.

Ms Pierce owns two BodySmart studios - one in Dublin and one in Galway - which focus solely on vibration plate training.

The first BodySmart franchise studio has just opened in Naas, County Kildare.

Earlier in the year, the Daily Mail spotted a vibration plate machine being delivered to Kylie Minogue's home.
