Women hoping to shed their post-baby weight should put on their ladies fitness clothing and get walking, a celebrity personal trainer has suggested.
Fitness trainer to the stars James Duigan told the Daily Mirror that walking is one of the best exercises around for new mums.
"It's also a good activity for people who don't really like exercise - it's cheap, requires hardly any effort and just about everybody can do it," he added.
The newspaper reports that new mum Charlotte Church has been out walking every week on the Welsh sand dunes with her fiance Gavin, children Ruby and Dexter and their dogs.
Mr Duigan recommends women aim to do three 30-minute walks each week and said that doing these with the family dog can provide even more of a workout as tugging on the lead exercises the arm muscles.
Earlier this month, TV presenter Julia Bradbury was named the new president of the Ramblers.
She is now using her position to encourage women to don their ladies fitness wear and walk more.
