Women in Wandsworth have been donning their gym clothing and heading to a new fitness studio that has just opened in their borough.
Located at the Tooting Bec Athletics Track and Gym, the centre opened last Tuesday (March 15th), as part ofWandsworth Council's celebrations of the 500-day countdown to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Those who visit the studio will be able to take part in a number of different classes in their ladies fitness clothing.
These include Zumba, yoga, Pilates, mixed martial arts, boxercise and circuits.
Councillor Sarah McDermott, executive member of the council for environment and leisure, said: "The studio looks fantastic - congratulations to everyone involved."
"Already there's a terrific selection of classes which offer people of all ages a fun alternative to more conventional forms of exercise," she added.
Earlier this week, the Ilkeston Advertiser reported that people in Derbyshire are being offered a special deal at four council-run health centres.
Those who sign up for a year's membership at Erewash Borough Council's four gyms will receive the first three months for free.
