Wax 48 hours before showing off newly toned legs

Women who have been donning their gym clothing and working out in preparation for parties over the Christmas period should wax at least 48 hours before showing off their newly toned pins, according to a beauty expert.

"It can take up to 24 hours for any redness and irritation to subside and you will need to leave all perfumed products off for this period of time," explained Louise Thomas-Minns, Nair skin therapist.

Ms Thomas–Minns recommended opting for a depilatory (hair removing) cream, as they can be used just a few hours before an event.

For perfectly smooth skin Ms Thomas-Minns advised exfoliating 48 hours before hair removal and repeating on a weekly basis in order to avoid ingrown hairs.

The beauty expert also recommended moisturising after every bath or shower.

Last month Marcella Knibb, corporate trainer for Dermalogica, said that women donning their ladies fitness wear and braving the elements this season should be including a good moisturiser in their skincare routine to help fend off the impact of the winter elements.ADNFCR-2569-ID-19447654-ADNFCR
